We built the room we always wanted to be in.
Nightcall started in 2019 as a single night at a borrowed bar — four friends, a borrowed PA, and a playlist that nobody else in San Antonio was playing.
We weren't trying to start a movement. We were just tired of driving to Austin.
The first night sold out. The second night sold out faster. By the third, people were driving from Austin to us.
A monthly underground night for the dark, the electric, and the devoted.
Dark Wave, Synthpop, Electro, New Wave, and Indie — music that lives in the space between joy and grief.
Paper Tiger, San Antonio. A room that was built for exactly this kind of night.
No dress code. No attitude. Just people who feel things deeply and dance anyway.

Founder & Resident DJMara has been collecting records since she was 14. She built Nightcall because she needed it to exist.

Bookings & ProductionDex handles the acts, the lights, and the sound. He's the reason the room feels the way it does.

Art Direction & DesignLena makes everything look like it came from a different decade. She's responsible for the aesthetic.
